hospitals and institutions

Many of us who are now recovering in Narcotics Anonymous first heard the message of recovery while we were in a hospital or institution. This service body acknowledges the importance of carrying the message through our experience, strength, and hope. We recognize our responsibility to support and facilitate the growth of the H&I effort in the South Florida Region. For this purpose, we have created the H&I subcommittee as part of the Regional Service Committee.

The Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee performs its function by:

  • Maintains an updated list of all appropriate facilities within the region and records which ones are served by which Area Subcommittees and the type of services being performed.
  • Conducts workshops to address the problems that member Areas are experiencing or to discuss new methods of H&I work.
  • Maintains communication with the Area H&I subcommittees so that member Areas may beĀ· informed of its activities. Communication flows both ways through the Area and the regional subcommittee.
  • Performs other activities that benefit the H&I effort in the South Florida Region.

If you would like more information or to become involved in the Hospitals and Institutions Subcommittee, please review our regional policy for qualifications and duties or contact the chairperson. The Vice-Chair position is currently open.
